Frequently Asked Questions

About Bionil OW S AX

What does being specialized for immersion and ultrasonic mean?

S AX is formulated to deliver optimum performance in static immersion baths and ultrasonic cavitation cleaning systems. Its foam level is kept low, its wetting power increased, and for energy efficiency it is designed to remain effective even at low temperatures.

Why is it important that no oil-water emulsion is formed?

In immersion baths, an oil-water emulsion exhausts the bath in a short time and increases waste volume. The AX formula keeps the oil as a separate layer on the bath surface, allowing it to be continuously removed with a skimmer; this extends bath life and lowers operating cost.

How often should the bath be replaced?

With skimmer and filter use, an AX bath remains efficient for 8-12 weeks. When conductivity or refractometer readings drop, active-ingredient top-up is performed. The exact timing of a bath change depends on part throughput and contamination load.
