Bionil OW S 300

Specialized for Iron/Steel/Plastic

Bionil OW S 300 is formulated for dedicated performance on iron, steel and plastic surfaces. All other OW series properties (EU compliance, biodegradability, solvent-, phosphate- and silicone-free formulation) are retained. For surfaces such as galvanized steel, brass and copper, S 100 is the preferred choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Bionil OW S 300

Why is S 300 the preferred choice for plastic parts?

The high alkali content required for washing iron and steel parts is harmless to most engineering plastics (PP, POM, PA). With this balance, S 300 removes heavy oil and grease while leaving the surface of injection-molded plastic parts undamaged — the ideal choice for mixed metal-plastic production lines.

Why is it important that no oil-water emulsion is formed?

Thanks to the non-emulsifying formula, oil collects as a separate layer on the bath surface. It can be continuously removed with a belt or disc skimmer. This extends bath life, reduces chemical consumption, and allows the waste oil to be collected separately for recycling.

How often should the bath be replaced?

With regular use of a skimmer and filter, an S 300 bath remains active for 6-10 weeks. Falling concentration is tracked with conductivity or refractometer readings; top up when it drops. Bath life varies with the contamination load on the part surfaces.
