Bionil OW S 200 is specially formulated for galvanized surfaces. It works with the same clean-flow principle as the general-purpose S 100, but without compromising the galvanic protection. All other OW series properties (EU compliance, biodegradability, solvent-, phosphate- and silicone-free formulation) are retained.

Because the zinc coating on galvanized parts is amphoteric in character, it is easily dissolved by strongly alkaline cleaners. S 200 is formulated with a reduced alkali content and a special inhibitor package to protect the zinc coating; no dulling or blackening occurs.
EU compliance indicates that the product is formulated to be safe under the REACH and CLP regulations, biodegradable, and harmless to waste-water treatment systems. It also contains no banned solvents, heavy metals or carcinogenic components.
When used together with oil separation, an S 200 bath remains effective for 4-8 weeks. Declining bath performance, increased foaming or stains remaining on the part surface are signals that a change is due. Regular pH and conductivity monitoring is the most accurate way to determine the exact timing.
