About Bionil WP Torch Protection Gel
How hot should the torch be at the moment of dipping?
Right after welding, while the torch is hot and clean (approximately 80-150°C), it should be dipped 2-3 mm deep into the gel. A hot torch allows the gel's active ingredients to bond well to the surface; on a cold torch the film does not spread evenly.
Does the gel contaminate the torch?
No. Bionil WP is formulated to high purity, leaves no residue and does not affect electrical conductivity. The dipped amount evaporates with the heat during welding, leaving behind only a thin protective film that prevents spatter adhesion.
Why is being silicone-free important?
Silicone residue makes the adhesion of paint, adhesives or coatings in subsequent production steps impossible. With its silicone-free formula, Bionil WP is a paint-line-compatible solution, especially for the automotive, white goods and metal furniture sectors.
