Bionil BC Bacteriological Cleaning System

VOC-Free, NSF-Approved Complete System with Biological Process

Bionil BC cleans all types of workshop soiling, drilling and cutting oils, greases, protective oils and other contaminants in the most economical way — easily, quickly and without leaving any waste. It contains no solvents, is non-flammable, non-combustible and non-toxic. It contains no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). It is odorless and does not damage paint, rubber or elastomer materials. Thanks to the chemicals it contains, it does not cause rusting on the material. It is environmentally friendly. It harms neither the user nor the environment. It leaves no waste. It destroys oils and greases by consuming them. Its cleaning power does not diminish over time. Maintenance and operating costs are very low. Through the optimal combination of mechanical action, heat, chemicals and enzymes, it delivers perfect cleaning in a short time. It features the most advanced, state-of-the-art Biological Cleaning and Destruction technology. The chemicals and enzymes it contains comply with the norms and directives of the European Union (European Directive 1999/13/EC Class 1).

Frequently Asked Questions

About Bionil BC Bacteriological Cleaning System

How does biological cleaning compare to conventional solvent cleaning?

Solvent cleaning carries fire, health and waste problems; the cost of replacing solvent every shift keeps rising. Bionil BC is a biological process in which a bacterial culture destroys the oil by consuming it — a one-time setup, continuous cleaning, zero VOC and no waste left behind. Over the long term, costs drop by a factor of 5-10.

How do the bacteria "eat" oil?

Selected aerobic bacterial strains in the bath metabolize hydrocarbon chains, breaking them down into small molecules (CO2 and water). For the bacteria, oil and grease are a food source; with heat (39-40°C), oxygen (pump circulation) and enzyme catalysts, this process continues uninterrupted and no oil accumulates in the bath.

How valuable is leaving no waste for the environment?

Conventional cleaning processes generate tons of hazardous waste, with high disposal costs and a large carbon footprint. In Bionil BC, the oil is biologically broken down by enzymes and bacteria; only water and CO2 are produced. Hazardous-waste reporting to the environmental authorities is reduced to a minimum and green certification processes become easier.

How many parts can the 90 L tank handle?

With its 100 kg maximum load capacity, the 90 L tank can clean 20-50 medium-sized machine parts per day (engine parts, gears, fittings). This varies with part surface area and contamination load; heavily greased parts allow fewer, dry dusty parts allow more pieces to be processed.

Is a 230V mains supply sufficient, or is three-phase power required?

The Bionil BC system runs on a standard 230V/50Hz single-phase mains supply. Total power consumption is approximately 700W (650W heater + 40W pump). It requires no three-phase wiring or special electrical infrastructure; it has the ideal power profile for a small workshop or service garage.

What kind of certifications are NSF + EU 1999/13/EC?

NSF is a US-based independent hygiene certification body that grants approval for safe use in food processing areas. EU Directive 1999/13/EC Class 1 is the directive restricting organic solvent emissions; Class 1 is the lowest emission category. Together, these two certifications prove that BC is suitable for the food sector and compliant with the EU.
